Trademarks
defined as words or designs (or any combination thereof)
used to identify a business' products or services,
and are important intellectual assets in any kind
of business. If appropriate steps are not taken when
coming up with the company's product name or logo,
the resulting trademark can become a liability rather
than an asset. Many companies make the mistake of
starting to use a name without first finding out whether
it is unencumbered by other trademarks (ie, whether
it is available for trademarking). Often, those same
companies can find themselves the object of unwanted
attention when later they receive letters from the
legitimate owner of similar trademarks demanding that
they cease and desist all use of the name and pay
damages. Greater awareness should be encouraged.
There is more to the
design of a trademark than the creation of a pretty
picture: ideally, a successful trademark will embody
the firm’s philosophy, features, the characteristics
of the firm’s products, business ideas, and more,
since eventually the trademark itself will become
synonymous with the company’s operations. This requires
more than good design skills: marketing, aesthetics,
consumer psychology, economics, materials technology
and linguistics all play their part in the creation
of a successful logo’s layout, color and character.

and promotion services.
Design process:
1. Customer indicates specific design requirement
and actual circumstances. Charges will be negotiated
based on the expected complexity of the task.
2. Customer fills in relevant forms entrusting the
task to T&S.
3. Designer will offer trademark names for your choice
and you will be expected to make a decision within
three days.
4. You will be offered an option to choose any one
(trademark designed) from a selection of ten provided.
You may also supply your own trademark design, but
please arrange a search of the trademark registry
to ensure such designs are unencumbered.
5. The designer will then supply three variations
for your final decision. Generally this step takes
about a week.
6. Registry application. Customer should apply to
register the trademark as soon as a definite decision
is made. If more than one month elapses, the designer
declines all responsibility for filing trademark or
redesigning (unless specified otherwise in the agreement
beforehand).
